This Saturday, The Tudor House is taking a trip to the Ren Faire!

That’s right. We’re putting on our corsets, cloaks, boots, flower crowns, belts with too many pouches, swords that absolutely do not need to be that large, and whatever outfit makes us look like we’re about to either win a joust, seduce a bard, or be accused of witchcraft by a man with bad facial hair.

We’ll be spending the morning and afternoon wandering the Faire together, eating enormous turkey legs, drinking lemonade, watching people get hit with lances, admiring everyone’s outfits, and pretending we are not all too hot wearing four layers of leather in the summer sun.

Then, starting at 7:00PM, The Tudor House transforms into a fantasy-style inn, and we’ll return to rest… or tire ourselves out even more.

Because after all, the proper follow-up to a day of corsets, leather, goblets, tavern songs, and people yelling “huzzah” is exploring a dungeon (and maybe some new kinks) with our fellow adventurers.

Expect a full Ren Faire day trip followed by a relaxed Tudor House party in the evening. Come for the costumes. Come for the side quests. Stay because the afterparty is where the real adventure starts.

? What to Expect
Some of us will caravan up to the Faire from The Tudor House in the morning (we’re only 20 minutes away from Bristol Renaissance Faire), and others will meet up at the Faire, depending on each person’s location and preference. We’re also having an event at The Tudor House the night before, so feel free to stay over and save yourself the drive.

During the day, we’ll be wandering around. Feel free to stick together as a group or split off as you find shows, shops, food, drinks, and shiny things. (And if you happen to find that one leather shop that has a “back room” we’ll know where you went) )

After the Faire, we’ll head back to The Tudor House for the afterparty.
The evening will be social, playful, cozy, and very much in the spirit of “we spent all day pretending to be medieval, and now we have indoor plumbing and a dungeon.”
There will be snacks, music, space to hang out, space to decompress, and plenty of room for people to keep the Faire energy going.
You’re welcome to join for the Faire, the afterparty, or both. That said, the full experience is absolutely “go frolic in public, then continue the party with your fellow adventurers at the inn.”

The play space will open up as soon as our adventuring party returns to the inn (AKA The Tudor House).
