The technology is gettting better and the cost is coming down for these. I have a smart watch that, in addition to tracking steps/workouts, it checks heart rate, blood pressure and O2 levels, calories burned, and length/quality of sleep.
I'm seeing ones that also monitor temperature and can do a ECG test. I suspecct these checks may not be as accurate as what you have done at the doctors office, but it does give you a relative look at a number of personal health/fitness metrics at your fingertips. They of course tell you the date/time and most will display texts sent to your phone. Just curious how many others are taking advantage of this technology, and if they have a particular make/model they like. Mine is just a brand X that I got for the Mrs to see if she'd like it. She did and we upgraded hers to a Samsung FitBit Inspire 2 as I recall. Things to look for are charging method (magnetic preferred) and band attachment (bands with pins preferred). Some, like mine, involve pulling off one end of the band and plugging the watch directly into a USB port. Sounds effective, but the band doesn't stay on as well after being taken off/putting it back on a number of times.
